Central Heating Upgrades

If you have an extension or a loft conversion carried out and need an additional radiator added to your heating circuit, then we can help. Adding additional radiators can involve taking up carpets and floor boards, but with our vast experience, we know how to access those buried heating pipes with minimal disturbance. Along with installing additional radiators, we can also upgrade heating pipework. If some of your pipework is undersized or blocked, we can cut it out and replace it, leaving you with a fully functioning heating system.

TRV Installations

Thermostatic Radiator Valves (TRVs) are a requirement of Part L of the building regulations. Every radiator is required to have them installed, apart from the hallway one, which is classed as a bypass radiator and is located nearest to the room thermostat.

Having TRVs installed is a fantastic way to improve the efficiency of your heating circuit. They work as individual thermostats, and once the room is up to the desired temperature, the valve will shut off, meaning you are no longer unnecessarily heating that specific room.

Power Flushing

Over time central heating systems can become sludged up, and if left untreated, this can lead to blockages and corrosion issues. We offer a service of power flushing your heating circuit. Having a power flush carried out is a way of deep cleaning the internals of your central heating pipework and radiators. We use a machine that acts like a pressure washer and runs a cleaner through the system. Once completed, we then dose the system with an inhibitor and refill it, ensuring there are no airlocks.

After a power flush, it is advisable to install a Magnaclean. This large magnet catches metallic debris and prevents it from entering the boiler, thus potentially preventing a blocked heat exchanger and further expenses.

Gas pipework upgrades

 Whether you require a new gas cooker installed and need a new gas supply or your existing carcass is leaking, then we can help.
