Boilers can also be installed in airing cupboards. Doing so can free up space in kitchens or can be an ideal solution if the existing unit is in a living room as a BBU. Airing cupboard installations can mean that we have to install a vertical flue and a new gas supply, but with our operatives having years of experience, it’s something we can take care of without issue.
When carrying out a boiler upgrade, there are multiple rules and regulations that we have to consider. These include ensuring that the system is Part L compliant, meaning that thermostatic radiator valves are installed on all radiators except one (which is the bypass). We also need to ensure that the first metre of pipework from the hot water cylinder (if applicable) is insulated and that appropriate controls are fitted. All of these options will be discussed during the initial survey.
